Weylin is one! I am so excited to be photographing this little cutie again. It’s hard to believe how quickly they grow up. His parents also got in on the photo action so it’s very easy to see where Weylin gets it from. Not to mention the father/son portraits that seemed to steal everyone’s heart when I first posted a sneak peek on Facebook. Oh this family! – it’s always such an honor to take their picture.

Brianna : High School Senior Portraits

Brianna is graduating high school this year, and I had the opportunity capture this moment for her. It was such a fun session. Brianna is a natural in front of the camera, and we did a lot of different looks. Poised, articulate and a joy to be around – this girl has a bright future ahead of her! Jenny & Travis {Bakersfield Ranch Wedding}

Out in the foothills at a beautiful ranch, Jenny and Travis were married. The day was just so sweet, down to the last detail. Love and family just radiated through the whole event. The adorable children frolicking around provided a lot of beautiful moments. Not to mention their first look, Travis’ surprise song for Jenny during the ceremony, and the sparkler exit. Erika & Mike {Bakersfield Engagement Session}

Erika and Mike are getting married! We are so excited to be capturing this special day for them. For their engagement session we took some family portraits out in the beautiful hills, then headed downtown for some night photos. In addition to their photography, I am super stoked we will also covering the cinematography for their wedding day with our Two Wild Hearts! Be sure to also watch the save the date film, featuring the sweetest story about the proposal!

Jimmy and Natalie are getting married! These two met me over on the Central Coast last weekend for some engagement photos around Pismo and Avila. They simply could not be anymore stylish and sweet. Not only are a stunning couple, but they are wonderful people. I am so honored that they asked me to be their photographer! Congratulations you two!

Genevieve & Remy {Central Coast Wedding}

Remy and Genevieve were married last Saturday in a beautiful ceremony at St. Paul in Pismo Beach, CA. Their reception at the Madonna Inn followed. From the moment I walked into their home where Gen was getting ready, it was clear this would be a day of meaningful moments. As the day progressed, the love story of Remy and Gen was told through guest’s greetings, hugs, toasts, and old photographs…. It was obvious everyone in attendance felt the love between these two sweet souls. Although I love to capture a gorgeous portrait, (and boy was it easy with these two!) I thought I would do something a little different to kick off spring wedding season. Here is the story of Remy and Gen’s wedding through a slide show. This way, amongst all the beauty of the day, it also gives you a feel for what a wedding is all about, the moments and memories.

Girly Dinosaur Party : Alina turns 5!

This 5 year old aspiring paleontologist had the cutest themed birthday party! So many clever dino details, not to mention an adorable cake by Anamie’s Sweets. The cake was modeled after Alina’s very own pal, Dino. It was requested that Dino somehow be the star of the cake, and the girly touches Anamie designed to go along with the second request for a “girly” were just too adorable! I was amazed! The whole party was just fantastic. So happy to wish Alina a super happy 5th birthday!

Jack and Jill {Washington DC & Virginia Engagement Session}

So here it is folks. I have been posting sneak peeks since we returned. Everyone has been smitten by the fact that their names are Jack and Jill… well, to be specific her name is Jillian, but yes… their names are awesome and yet another sign they are meant to be. I don’t know how many people have mentioned to me how awesome or how lucky I am that their names are Jack and Jill. What I consider the awesome and lucky part, is that these two wonderful people wanted me to shoot their wedding in Visalia this fall, AND that we were able to shoot their engagement session in their own “backyard.”…

Many people don’t know this about me, but before I really allowed myself to fall in love with the arts, my career path was leading down the road of politics. I happened to love studying government and US history in school. A geekiness that has stayed with me even as my adult obsessions have all centered around art and design. I can still recite the preamble, I have a favorite president (apparently not everyone does, who knew?) and the 19th Amendment – hell ya! So, going to Washington DC to combine two things I love, was an absolute dream come true. There was plenty of tourist time before we met up with Jack and Jill to shoot there engagement session. (If you follow me on Instagram, you already know.) Then it was e-sesh day!! The day began at Mount Vernon, George Washington’s Estate. A beautiful place I never would have thought to go if it wasn’t for these two. We had the most amazing spring day. Then, we were on our way to the next awesome place. FYI – there is a park by Ronald Reagan airport where you can watch the planes land right over your head! They even took us to Theodore Roosevelt Island and we wrapped up the session with Monuments at night. It was a long day full of photos but it was such a joy to get to spend so much time getting to know them. I am super excited for their wedding this fall and also super excited to be able to give them these photos of some of their favorite places.
